Mother. Mommy. Mama. Mom. Ma. Mum.
Whatever you call her, she deserves a day just for her. After all, she did give birth to you … and changed your diaper … and fed you … and put up with your rebellious teen years …
That’s what Mother’s Day is for! But sometimes, finding a way to truly celebrate your mom and show her how special she is to you can be difficult. I’ve gathered several ideas for you, hopefully some you may not have thought of! Whether you use one of these ideas or something else, just be sure to show your appreciation to such a special lady!

Massage
What a great way to let your mom relax. Pay for her to get a massage or give her one yourself! You can even go all out and light candles and play soothing music.
Clean
Mama cleans all the time. Give her a break. Hire someone to clean her house or do it yourself. Turn on some fun music and see who has the best dance moves as you sweep the floors with your siblings.
Aprons & Kitchen Supplies
If your mom loves to cook and bake, she will probably love all the adorable styles Flirty Aprons has to offer. Grab her a couple aprons, and maybe even some new kitchen supplies to match!
Jewelry
Etsy has some of the prettiest and most personalized jewelry around. I love the necklaces from BeeBaubles Jewelry. Francine, the shop owner, has so many great pieces to choose from — you are sure to find one your mother will like.
Supper
Is your mama the one who is always making supper for you and your family? Well, it’s time for a night off. You and your siblings can make your ma’s favorite meal while she gets to do something she likes — such as read a book, take a nap, or soak in a bubble bath. Then serve her meal and enjoy it together as a family.
Chores
Figure out what your mother’s least favorite chore around the house is and do it for her. Do all the dishes, fold all the laundry (and put it away), or vacuum all the floors. Or even better do all three! While you do that, give her some time to herself.
Snacks
Is your mom a health-nut? Or maybe she’s on a diet or trying to get healthy? Show her your support by getting her something from Aloha or perhaps a subscription to NatureBox. Aloha offers all kinds of healthy teas, snacks, and vitamins — this stuff is about as healthy as you can get. NatureBox is a monthly subscription box where they send you healthy and very tasty snacks every month. We love these snacks!
Home Decor
Give her something she can hang up on the wall to remember forever. DaySpring has some of the best stuff around! Or how about Etsy’s personalized burlap prints? I love these!
Memories
Take your family’s old home videos, which are probably on VHS, and switch them to DVDs. This means your family can keep watching them and they will last longer! Usually local photography studios can do it for you, with prices varying.
Quality Time
Spend the day with your mama! This is a great gift if you are already grown and moved out. Mamas miss us! Spend the day baking, shopping, playing tennis, or whatever you two enjoy doing together.
