Common Phrases in Korean

Welcome to Seeing Sunshine! I'm so glad you've stopped by! Make sure you never miss a post by subscribing via email. This post may contain affiliate links, so be sure to view my disclosure policy.

Are you planning a trip to Korea? Or perhaps you are moving there? My husband lives there now, and I’m going to visit soon!

One thing I’m worried about is the language barrier. I don’t know a thing about the Korean language! Maybe you don’t either? As a way to help myself, my husband, and others who may be visiting Korea, I am sharing common phrases in Korean for you to learn.

Common Phrases to Learn in Korean

Here is a list of some common phrases in Korean that would be great for learning. Some of the Korean symbols don’t really correspond to English letters — such as T, D, G, and K. Because of this, you may see different spellings of these words, but the ones below are still considered correct.

I set them up as a photo so it would be easy for you to save to your phone. That way you can practice whenever or even pull it out if you suddenly need to find a toilet ASAP! 🙂

I had a great time trying to say these and say them fast. I always think they say these words faster, which make them harder and funnier to try to learn. This could be a new game for the next holiday gathering! Good luck on your Korean as you travel. I’m sure you will learn a lot when you go there. Enjoy this new culture.

Yeah, they definitely say them fast — or at least faster than we say them while learning!
