Starting Fresh

Welcome to Seeing Sunshine! I'm so glad you've stopped by! Make sure you never miss a post by subscribing via email. This post may contain affiliate links, so be sure to view my disclosure policy.

Welcome to Seeing Sunshine! This is my first post on this website. I’ve had another blog for over a year through WordPress. However, I feel it’s time to step up to the plate and create my own site. Something with a real name, with a real purpose.

So I decided to do it. I bought my own domain, and then realized how much harder building a website can be than I thought, even with help from a web host and other bloggers. At one point, I thought “What have I gotten myself into?” I thought maybe I had jumped the gun without really looking into it – something I feel I often do. I realized how much time and effort it would take before I could even launch the website, and I started to doubt myself and doubt the vision I had within me. But then I saw this quote:

“Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might as well put that passing time to the best possible use.”

And I realized, no matter how long it took before I could launch the site, that time would pass anyway. So why not work on a website while the time ticks away? Especially since I already paid for the domain! Then things started to come together. And I really began praying about the website – that God would help it come together, that it would look just as He wanted, that anything I write on it would be straight from Him, that I would only be a vessel as a way for Him to connect with my readers, that the right people would stumble onto my site at just the right time. And most importantly that readers would begin to see sunshine through the clouds of their life as they read from the website.

And that is my hope. That God will allow me to use this website as a way to encourage and inspire you, a way to push some of your dark clouds aside and let the sun beams through.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you come back!
