How many countries have you visited?
I’ve visited two countries outside of the U.S. — Jamaica and Costa Rica. I will visit St. Lucia this summer. That’s a total of three countries. That’s nothing.
Not compared to my friend who will be traveling to 11 — count it — 11 countries starting in July. And she will be doing it in just 11 months. Awesome, right? Well, there is more awesomeness.
Ricci, that’s my friend’s name … she isn’t just going to those countries to sit on a beach or eat exotic food. Ricci will be visiting those 11 countries to spread God’s Word, witness to others and further the Kingdom of Heaven. Ricci will be loving on orphans, connecting with women involved in human trafficking, building relationships with strangers in order to show them God’s powerful and unconditional love, and witnessing first-hand God’s amazing beauty around the world — in not only nature, but in people.
Ricci will be touching the lives of countless individuals around the globe, and at the same time, God will be touching her life. She will be forever changed by this journey. I know that because I know Ricci’s heart. And I can already see God preparing her for this incredible experience.
Can you imagine the stories she will have? The memories she will make? The people she will encounter and the adventures that will unfold? I am so excited for my friend. Can you tell?
I wanted to share with you about Ricci’s upcoming adventure so you can follow along. Read her blog and stay connected. And I also want to ask you a favor. Would you consider financially supporting Ricci? She’s needs a total of $15,500 in order to take this around-the-world trip. Right now, she has $3,500. In order to be able to leave in July, she has to have at least $6,500. Would you consider donating to this cause? Click here to donate via credit or debit card. Not only will I be grateful, but so will Ricci. Not to mention the unreached across the nations who’s lives God will change through Ricci.
Here are some more details about my girl’s adventure:
- It’s called The World Race — heard of it? You can check it out here. I promise it is legit.
- She will be sleeping in a tent a lot of the time.
- The money needed pays for sea, land and air travel, food, administrative costs, training, lodging (when she’s not in the tent), coaching on the field, and well, pretty much everything.
- Ricci plans to blog throughout the journey, as well as share photos.
- She will be visiting (in this order) Ireland, Romania, Ukraine, India, Nepal, Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa, Thailand, Cambodia and Taiwan.
If you have any questions, let me know. I would be happy to answer them. And here’s my question for you, out of those countries, which would you most want to visit. I would choose Ireland because of the scenery.
