March Visitors

March 21, 2014 by Tiffany

Welcome to Seeing Sunshine! I'm so glad you've stopped by! Make sure you never miss a post by subscribing via email. This post may contain affiliate links, so be sure to view my disclosure policy.

Just in time for Travis’ birthday, his sister and nephew — Casey and Carter — came to visit! They were able to find cheap flights to Orlando, so we headed south to meet them. Since we were already in Orlando, we all went to Sea World!

It was so nice watching Travis get to spend quality time with Carter. They had lots of time to bond, and it was precious.

Uncle & Nephew Time

Bonding Time

Travis wasn’t the only one who got bonding time with the little cutie! Carter liked sitting on my lap and all the fun places we went while Travis was at work.

And it wasn’t all about Carter. We also loved spending time with Casey. It meant a lot that she wanted to come visit us.

My favorite part of Sea World was getting to pet and feed the dolphins. It cost a little extra, but it was definitely worth the small price to get the experience. Travis and I both got a small tray of fish to feed the dolphins, and we could pet them under their mouths or on their fins. We learned not to pet dolphins on the tops of their heads because it can be very uncomfortable for them.

We also saw a dolphin show and got to see the killer whales in their tanks. Carter’s favorite part was probably seeing the penguins. He was jumping up and down he was so excited. Travis really enjoyed the roller coasters.

After Sea World, we headed over to Downtown Disney to eat at the T-Rex Restaurant. It was basically like Rainforest Cafe but with dinosaurs. We were all impressed with how good the food was. Carter enjoyed digging for dinosaur bones while we waited for a table.

After our time in Orlando, Casey and Carter came back to our house for a couple days. We took them to River Street and some local parks. We went bowling and even went to a fun place that had arcade games and bounce houses.

Overall, we had a great time and we hope our visitors did too!
