Currently — a new post series I’m starting where I share what I’m currently up to. A Mama Collective started this “currently” idea and hosts a link up so everyone can share their currently posts. I found out about it when Bree started sharing what she’s currently up to. I loved reading her posts, so I decided I wanted to join in!
Here’s what I’ve been up to currently…
Thinking about: How incredibly scary that new water slide in Missouri looks. Have you seen this thing? It’s higher than the statue of liberty people! And did I mention my husband wants to go on it? What a nut!
Reading: I just finished the first book in Francine River’s The Mark of the Lion series. It was called “A Voice in the Wind,” and I absolutely loved it!
Listening to: I’m all about country music in the summertime. Right now, my favorite summer song is Beachin’ by Jake Owen. I love the chorus! I love that the first part of the chorus says, “Sunshine, blue eyes, tan lines, slow tide rolling…” Hello, that’s my whole summer wrapped into eight words! 🙂
Watching: I’m enjoying the show Last Comic Standing right now. I really like Rod Man. I love laughing and I love hearing my husband laugh, so it’s been fun laughing with this show.
Praying for: I talk more about this in tomorrow’s post, but I’m praying for God to help Travis and I find a new home church. Quickly please!
Thankful for: Skype dates with my cousins. These girls are like sisters to me, and I miss them like crazy. Anytime we get to catch up, I’m just so thankful. Yes, technology can be a good thing.
Working on: I think I’ve mentioned before that I’ve got a new summer project for a local magazine. I’m in charge of writing ALL the copy. It was overwhelming at first, but I’m getting there. My deadline is in a few weeks, and we are having a meeting this week to see how everything is coming along.

Where in Missouri do you live? I have friends up there who may be able to recommend a church depending on where you are! And I’ve been hearing great things about the Mark of the Lion series! I need to get to that eventually but never seem to have the time to read as much as I want to!
We don’t live in Missouri actually. We live in southern Georgia. But someday he wants to get to Missouri and ride that slide! 🙂 Yes, you definitely should read this series! I just started book two and last night I could not put it down!

Here’s what I am up to currently:
Listening to: audio books. I love having them when I am traveling. I am currently listening to a book called Swapping Lives. And when listening to music I like I heart radio soft rock indianapolis 105.5. I am spending a lot of time on travel away from my family. This station makes me feel a little bit closer to home.
Eating: I love the lasagna at Casa’s
Praying for: guidance, health of family, friends and self
I am so grateful for bridal shower planning that let’s me use my creative juices. I am happiest spending time with my hubby, family and being creative.
