Right now, Travis and I live in an apartment. We love almost everything about it. Being in the military means we are going to be moving several times. It’s kind of exciting to think of where we’ll end up next. But Travis doesn’t plan to be active duty for the rest of his life. At some point, we’d like to settle down into a “forever home” as I like to call it.
Even though we aren’t anywhere near that phase of our lives, it is fun to dream about. We enjoy driving through neighborhoods and pointing out which houses we both like. We enjoy talking about our dream home, listing things we’ll want and even looking at blueprints online.
So I thought it’d be fun to share with you some of the things about my dream home.
I have made a list (I sure love lists, don’t I?) of things I have to have in my dream home and a list of things I really want. I also threw in a list of other items I want — things that could be added on later or that would just be a bonus if we got them.

Oooh, I want a secret door too! What do you want behind your door? I’d make it my own little safe haven, or reading nook with a comfy couch or chair with a window that looked out over pretty scenery.

I agree — probably a little reading nook or maybe a play room for kids or something. I’ve also seen where the kitchen pantry is behind a secret door – that was neat too!
