I am very excited for Christmas this year. Cookies, hot chocolate, twinkling lights, board games with family, shopping with my mom, and oh yeah — presents! I love giving gifts and I love receiving gifts. And I ain’t afraid to say so!
As I’ve done with every season this year, I’m sharing with you my wish list. But this one is even better because some folks (aka my husband!) will actually be giving me some of these gifts. Thanks Christmas!

1. Citrus Zester. I want one so that it’s easier to zest my citrus. Enough said.
2. Is it just me or does everyone have the Urban Decay Naked Eye Shadow Palette? I don’t understand how every woman seems to have one, because these eye shadows are WAY too expensive for me to ever buy on my own. I would feel so guilty. But man, do I want one. Palette 1, 2, 3 — I don’t care!
3. If you know me at all, you know I love Karen Kingsbury. She is my all-time favorite author and I have read ALL of her books. (And own most of them) So of course I want this Karen Kingsbury Possibilities 365 Day Perpetual Calendar!
4. I love baking. And I love baking when using my KitchenAid Mixer. However, I often have to use a spatula to scrape down the sides while it mixes. Then I learned this existed. KitchenAid Flex Edge Beater — it’s like once I have one, my life will be complete. Or at least a lot easier. If you get one, make sure it’s the one that fits the size of your mixer bowl. I’m not sure if the one linked here is the right size I need.
5. The book Bread and Wine by Shauna Niequist is now on my to-read list. I read her book Cold Tangerines and really enjoyed it. I was able to hear her speak at Allume, so now I want to read all her books! Plus, I have a feeling Bread and Wine has a theme of hospitality, but we shall see.
6. Ok these Big Bow Headbands are adorable. My husband has a thing for bows. I mean it’s not like a weird fetish or anything, he just thinks they are cute. So this would be perfect! They are stylish and can cover my ears from the cold. I think I would want one in dark red. But I really like the colors in this photo too. I guess I’ll take one in each color please! 🙂 P.S. Ana Mae Designs gives free shipping to military families! Woop Woop!
7. We’ve lived in our apartment for a year and a half, so the “stuff” is starting to accumulate. You know, the stuff you need to keep but don’t know where to put. I could definitely use some of these Decorative Storage Baskets to put all my greeting cards, stamps, address book, etc. in.
Let me hear from you. Do you wish you had any of these items too? What else is on your Christmas wish list this year?
