We had SO many Christmas get-togethers this year. And it was fantastic! We loved getting to spend quality time with family. It was my goal this year to get a great family photo with each of our families. And now that we know Travis will be gone for a year, it was even more important to me. I would really like to make this a tradition to do every year.
It all began in Georgia when Travis and I had our own Christmas. We opened our Christmas presents to each other, ate Christmas cookies, and watched Charlie Brown Christmas.
We headed to Indiana for our first family Christmas get-together. We got to see Santa and sit on his lap to get our gifts. I enjoyed making macaroni and cheese with two of my sisters-in-law. We played fun games. And the cranberry tea was delicious!
Then we headed to southern Indiana to see my family. We had a day of baking and gift opening and games at my Grandma’s.
During our visit, we spent some time shooting clay pigeons out in a field. We got my brother a box of clay pigeons for Christmas, so we got whoever was available to come out and play with us. For being the second time I’ve shot a pistol, I was doing really well at hitting the target! I was so proud of myself! It was nice having quality time with both my dad and brother, and getting to see my husband bonding with them.
Next, we had my immediate family’s Christmas. We all opened presents from each other and then had a delicious (seriously like the best meal I’ve ever had) Christmas lunch.
We haven’t even got to Christmas Day yet! But this post is getting too long, so stay tuned for Part 2!

Tiffany Happy Holidays to you and your family. I so enjoy reading your posts and all the fun things you are doing on there. I pray for you and Travis as he is preparing to leave for a year.
I have to ask and if you don’t want to say for a reason I understand. Where exactly are you from in southern Indiana. I ask only because I was born and raised and still live in Evansville, Indiana. Evansville is in the southern most point in Indiana. Just across the bridge from Kentucky.
I also have a favor to ask if you have the time. My website is new, and would really love it if you could visit and let me know what you think. I am a life coach and having a great time empowering women to be the best they can be.
Continued prayers,
Susan

Susan, Thanks for reading! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas this year! I have drove through Evansville many times. My family is from the Terre Haute area of Indiana and my husband’s family lives near Muncie. Glad to have a fellow Hoosier reader! Please share your website so I can check it out! 🙂
