I told ya’ll about visiting E-World during my time in South Korea, but I haven’t told you yet about visiting the 83 Tower.
After taking a cable car from E-World, we arrived at the bottom of the tower. It was a beautiful area with gardens and fountains and a great view. The cable cars were not my favorite, but that’s just because I kept thinking, “What if the cable snaps?!” But luckily, it was a short ride and we arrived safely!
At the bottom of the tower, there are lots of restaurants with both Korean and Western food. We went inside the tower first and took an elevator up to the observation floor. The view at the top was spectacular. You could walk around the whole tower, seeing the city all around and the mountains beyond the city.
I’m so glad it was really clear on the day we went so we could see everything. It’s been very rainy and foggy here, so we picked such a great day to see these views! We had just walked through a tulip garden with all kinds of colors before we came up to the tower. So we were so excited to see the garden from up above! Just look at those designs — we didn’t even know it was shaped like that!
One of the neatest parts of the tower was the bathrooms! You could look at the view while using the toilet!
The observation floor also had a coffee shop where I got a strawberry smoothie that was the best I’ve ever had. They have each window marked with what you can see in that direction. We were even able to find Travis’ apartment from up there!
They had a wall that showed how tall the tower is compared to other towers in the world. Although, we realized the pictures aren’t to scale so you have to pay attention to the measurements listed.
If you are feeling really gutsy, there is also bungee jumping available off the tower! No thank you if you ask me!
At the top of the tower, there is a nice restaurant where reservations are required. At the bottom of the tower, there is a cafeteria with both Korean and American food options. We loved visiting the 83 Tower in Daegu. I’ll be sharing about our time at the restaurant at the top of the tower in a later post. Stay tuned!
