When I wrote this post, I told you I was right in the midst of it — in the hard, in the valley. Little did I know I still had farther to fall. I was honest and shared with you that I was trying not to drown. I felt like the waves kept breaking over me, and I was weak from trying to hold my head above the water.
I told you I was praying that I would become a stronger swimmer. And I encouraged you that we will not drown and we will survive. I told you we would be stronger.
But what happens if in the midst of that prayer to be a stronger swimmer, a tsunami hits?
What if you feel more overwhelmed and depressed and beat up than you ever have before? What happens when you are under the water, choking on the salty water?
At some point you were just trying not to sink, but what happens when you are in fact sinking?
Well, there is something very important that I forgot to mention in my last post on this topic. Something that God has reminded me just this week. He has promised us that we will not drown.
God has promised us that He will be with us and that the water will not sweep over us. Even when it feels like it is.
Even in the midst of a tsunami, no matter how strong the current is or how weak we are, God will not let us drown.
But now, this is what the Lord says — He who created you, He who formed you: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.” – Isaiah 43:1-2
He reminds us that He will fight for us.
The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still. – Exodus 14:14
He will save us.
Be strong, and do not fear, for your God is coming to destroy your enemies. He is coming to save you. – Isaiah 35:4
Please don’t give up, friends. Don’t lose hope.
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. – 1 Corinthians 13:7

You continue to amaze me and inspire me daily. I pray for you. I pray for me. I want to have focus and to always turn toward God even when the waves are crashing in all around and I’m not even sure what direction I’m to swim. When I’m drowning, may I also find comfort in knowing God will always have a hold of me. Thank you for sharing. I’ll be praying for you as you feel you are drowning and hope that you find strength and come out stronger, as you say, when you surface and see the sunshine again.

I am praying for you and your loved ones. Including those that can hold you up and support you during these times of trial. You can receive many different things from many different people. Remember to open yourself up to all blessings. Even the little things like a smile, a hug, or even a joke can lighten your load just for a moment. And in that moment you grow a little bit stronger. Praise the Lord.
