Currently {Vol. 14}

Welcome to Seeing Sunshine! I'm so glad you've stopped by! Make sure you never miss a post by subscribing via email. This post may contain affiliate links, so be sure to view my disclosure policy.

As you may have read last month, I needed to take a break from blogging. I only posted one blog from myself in September, and a few posts from guest bloggers. That month was hard, and my blogging break was definitely needed. I was able to put my full focus on God, lean in to Him and let Him show me the sunshine again. God was faithful, as always. I decided I’m ready now (hopefully) to get back to blogging.

Hello October! I’m back. Today, I decided to start off with a Currently post since I haven’t wrote in so long. Here’s what I’m up to currently…

Currently 14

Thinking about: How God is faithful. How He remembers us. How when we genuinely seek Him, we find Him. He reveals Himself. He wants a deep relationship with us. He is longing for us to want Him. I know what that longing feels like, and I’m so glad that I do want God in my life. And not just as a side dish, I want Him to be my entree and my dessert. (Weird analogy I know)

Reading: I’ve read a lot of books this past month, but by far my favorite has been Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge. Seriously, go read it. If you’re a woman, you should read it. If you are a man who has a wife or a daughter, you should read it. I also just finished reading a book by Max Lucado, and I just started another book by him. I’m a reading machine!

Praying about: I’ve been praying for two main things lately: healing and restoration.

Listening to: I’ve created some playlists on Spotify that I listen to almost non-stop. I have a worship playlist with two of my favorite songs right now. Ever Be is a song we sang at church one Sunday and I just fell in love with it. The other song is called Good Good Father, and I love singing it to God.

Watching: There really hasn’t been much on TV lately. But I do love watching Gilmore Girls and Boy Meets World on ABC Family whenever I have time. Oh, I’ve also started watching The Middle, and I love it. I love how it’s just light, funny entertainment without anything dirty or inappropriate it. That’s hard to find these days!

Eating/Drinking: I have had absolutely no motivation to cook anything. So I’ve been eating out a lot, and I love eating out.

Working on: I was recently hired as a virtual assistant and have been doing various work with that. I enjoy it so far and I’m looking forward to taking on more clients and getting more involved in this.

Learning: I have learned this week that dry wall really soaks up primer. Yes, I’ve been working on my bedroom renovations. Keep your eyes out for a post on it!

    So happy you’re back! I’ve taken a semi blogging break throughout the last month, and it was really refreshing. I love Captivating! I read it several years ago and still consider it one of the best religious books I’ve ever read!

      Yes, Captivating is definitely in my top five favorite books now! I’m glad you are feeling refreshed from your blogging break. I’ve got a blogging conference coming up, so I’m sure that will really kick start me to get going again!
