It's been quite some time since I've wrote a Thankful Thursday post. We are right in the midst of our PCS to Missouri -- loading trucks and packing our car, saying goodbyes -- it's been stressful and tough and crazy at times. Because of that, I decided it would be good to write a post about what I'm thankful for. You know, put things in perspective. Here are five things I'm thankful for this week. 1. For the benefits of the military. Sometimes (a lot of the time) I despise the military and how much control it has on my life, but other times I'm very thankful for the benefits we receive. One Continue Reading

Chocolate Heaven
So I was just craving chocolate one day and came up with this recipe. It was my dream -- a chocolate dream filled with heavenly flavors. This dessert is basically like dirt pudding minus the cream cheese with the added surprise of brownies! You heard me right! Who wants to go to chocolate heaven with me? Here's what you'll need: Oreos (1 whole package!) Chocolate pudding (mix + 3 cups of milk) Brownie mix (mix + eggs + water + oil) Whipped cream (sugar + heavy whipping cream) Crush all the Oreos in a large Ziplock bag. Spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Layer 2/3 of the crushed Continue Reading
How I Hear God
At Allume last year, I met a new friend -- another Tiffany! -- who blogs at In Grace Always. Tiffany asked me if I would consider guest posting for her blog. She is doing a series called Hearing God. When I found out what the series was about, I knew I wanted to join in. Here's what she says about the series: This series' goal is to bring about the awareness and beautiful intimacy that hearing God has on us, and God lead me to some wonderful ladies I met through the Allume Conference, who are brave and bold and willing to share their story of how they have come to hear the voice of God Continue Reading
Wassel
My mom and dad used to have a big fall party every year at their house. We would roast hot dogs and marshmallows, sitting on hay bales around a bonfire. We'd play volleyball before it got dark, and once the sun set we would go on a hayride. My mom always made wassel -- a warm drink that I couldn't get enough of. Wassel is delicious when the weather starts to get cold. Right now, it is freezing in Indiana so wassel is the perfect beverage. I made it for the first time for Travis while he was home visiting, and I made it for his family too. Everybody enjoyed it. Wassel is often served with Continue Reading
Currently {Vol. 15}
I haven't wrote a Currently post since October! There is so much to catch you all up on! Here's what's going on currently ... Thinking about: Everything that needs to get done. Travis is moving back to America (FINALLY!) in about one week, and then we only have a couple days before we move to Missouri. That means there is a ton of stuff to get done! We are hoping to rent out the home we bought this year, so I've been meeting potential renters, cleaning the house, and preparing to pack. My whole mind consists of several to-do lists! Reading: Travis and I recently finished The Continue Reading
2016 Word of the Year
Last year, I broke all the rules and had two words for 2015 -- Brave Adventure. It turns out those were the perfect words for that year. I had to be brave many, many times, and a lot of the year was a complete adventure -- good adventures and bad. We bought a house and property for the first time. My husband and I were living separately due to the military. I traveled to South Korea. We visited Hawaii and the Philippines. I visited Texas and New York. Brave adventure for sure. As 2015 came to a close, I began praying about what my word for 2016 should be. I thought about the things that Continue Reading

Cinnamon Sugar Pecans
I decided to give these little treats a try. After I finished them, my mom was so excited because her grandmother used to always make them. I took them to my mom's house and she got out the old antique candy dish our Grandma Thompson used for her cinnamon sugar pecans. I know it warmed my mama's heart to have these treats sitting in that dish. These are yummy! I wanted to share this recipe if not for anyone else at least for my mom. Here's what you'll need: Pecan halves Egg white Water Vanilla extract Sugar Cinnamon Salt Preheat your oven to 250 degrees and spray a Continue Reading
