Guy Behind the Blog Episode 8

March 30, 2016 by Tiffany

Welcome to Seeing Sunshine! I'm so glad you've stopped by! Make sure you never miss a post by subscribing via email. This post may contain affiliate links, so be sure to view my disclosure policy.

It’s time for an episode of “The Guy Behind the Blog” with my husband Travis.

Guy Behind the Blog

Here’s Travis’ answers to this month’s five questions.

1. Who do you want to win the NCAA tournament? Do you have a favorite college basketball team?

Well, my favorite college basketball team is Purdue; however, they had a complete meltdown the last few minutes of their opening round game and ended up losing in double overtime. So now I think I am going to root for all underdog teams, except I want Kansas to win because that’s who I have winning in my class bracket!

2. Do you follow March Madness? How is your bracket doing?

Oh, yes. I’m in a school right now for my job, and if there’s a game going on I will have it streaming on my phone during class. I am currently in third place in my class bracket pool. So I’m doing alright, except I did have Purdue in the championship game so that is going to hurt me.

3. Spring is here! What’s your favorite spring-time activity? Have you done it yet this year or plan to?

My favorite spring time activity is baseball. Growing up it was playing baseball and now it is watching it! I have not been able to watch any spring training games yet this year though. I can’t wait to go watch the Reds play the Cardinals in St. Louis this year though!

4. How did you celebrate Easter as a child? Any specific traditions? Do you celebrate the same way as an adult?

Every Easter morning my parents would make a scavenger hunt for us kids to find our Easter baskets! It was so much fun, and my mom always put silly clues on the cards. Then, after church, we would go to my Aunt Laura’s house and she would have an Easter egg hunt for all the nieces and nephews. Best of all, she filled the eggs with change, and each kid had a golden egg, which was always the hardest to find, but it had $5 in it!

5. Did you believe in the Easter Bunny as a kid? Do you think the Easter Bunny will come to your house when you have your own kids someday?

No, I did not believe in the Easter bunny. My parents never really pushed fictional characters like the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus. I definitely think we’ll have Easter baskets and egg hunts for our children, but I doubt they’ll believe in the Easter Bunny.

What are your answers to these questions? Do you have a specific question you’d love to have Travis answer? Leave it in the comments!

Fun reading about the man behind your blog! Neat Easter traditions. Sounds a lot like my family. My mom used to have a scavenger hunt too. Thanks for sharing.
Also, I love your new photo!
