Our Favorite Road Trip Snacks

April 8, 2016 by Tiffany

Welcome to Seeing Sunshine! I'm so glad you've stopped by! Make sure you never miss a post by subscribing via email. This post may contain affiliate links, so be sure to view my disclosure policy.

Travis and I love traveling. When we lived in Georgia, we were exploring the area like crazy. Now, that we are here in Missouri, we love to explore too. We have a huge list of places we want to visit nearby and things we want to do in the next couple months. We’ve already took the two-hour trip to Branson, and soon we’ll be heading to St. Louis. Our weekends are filling up quick!

We love going on road trips together. I especially love it because it means uninterrupted quality time with my husband where he can’t be distracted by TV or his cell phone. I love our deep discussions in the truck as we make our way down the highway. I also love singing really loudly with him with or without music to accompany us. We always have so much fun together!

Everything we need for a great road trip includes:

  • Sunglasses
  • A full tank of gas
  • A pillow (for when I get sleepy)
  • GPS (optional if you want to be spontaneous)
  • Snacks

Heading out for a road trip? There's nothing better than the windows down and your sunglasses on as you head out for an adventure. Of course, you know you'll get hungry! Check out these road trip snacks that are healthy and come delivered right to your door!

The Best Road Trip Snacks

Stopping at gas stations to get snacks can be fun, but it also means you are going to be loading up on lots of junk food. Since you’ll be sitting in a car for a long time and not being active — well, junk food and sitting all day is a great way to put on some extra pounds.

Instead, Travis and I like to snack on healthy goodies that don’t include a bunch of artificial junk. That means I can snack more, right?! We choose NatureBox!

NatureBox-Snacks-2

NatureBox is a fun subscription service where you get healthy and delicious snacks literally delivered to your door every month. And they are the perfect road trip snacks!

NatureBox guarantees:

  • Simple ingredients
  • No artificial junk (colors, flavors, or sweeteners)
  • No high fructose corn syrup
  • No MSG
  • Less than 200 calories per serving

They have 100 different snacks to choose from. You get to pick what you get each month! If you don’t like one of the snacks you get, they will replace it in your next box for free.

NatureBox Snacks 1

I got this subscription box for Travis as a way to send him some sunshine while he was in Korea. (Yes, they ship to APO addresses!) We decided to keep the subscription now that he’s home because I wanted some snacking too!

My favorite snacks have been the Honey Dijon Pretzels and the Double Berry Fruit Peels. Travis loves the Asiago & Cheddar Cheese Crisps and Parmesan Garlic Pop Pops.

This past month we got these five road trip snacks in our box:

  • Blueberry Nom-Noms
  • Honey Dijon Pretzels (yeah, I ate those so fast that I never got a chance to take a photo of them! Oops! #sorrynotsorry)
  • Apple Cinnamon Crunch — wow, these were amazing! We took them with us kayaking, and ate the whole bag on the water!
  • Harvest Nut Mix
  • Pistachio Power Clusters

NatureBox Snacks 3

As a special gift to my readers, I’d like to offer you a free NatureBox for you to try, but — you do have to pay for shipping ($4.95). Go check out the snack options they have and let me know which one you want to try!
