The end of a month means it's time for Travis to hop over and answer some questions in our Guy Behind the Blog series! This month, I'm answering the questions and Travis is responding in italics! Let's get started! 1. What is something that you do that he wishes you wouldn't do? He doesn't like it when I can't make up my mind. For instance, when I can't/won't choose where to eat or what to eat. Or when I'm making any type of decision and completely stressing over it. Yes, and I also don't like it when you chew on your fingers and bite your lips. 2. You bake him a cake for his birthday, Continue Reading

Our Price is Right Experience
During our baby moon vacation, after spending time in San Diego, we drove up to Los Angeles. While we were there, we visited Hollywood Blvd, Venice Beach, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Long Beach. We accomplished a lot in just two days! But our favorite part of LA was getting to experience the Price is Right game show from behind the scenes. Have you ever wondered what it's like to be in the studio audience of the Price is Right? Well, I'm about to share some secrets! Copyright: dolgachov / 123RF Stock Photo Behind the Scenes at the Price is Right We got out tickets online, Continue Reading
Things to Do in San Diego
Travis and I just got back from our west coast road trip, also known as our baby moon vacation. We flew into San Diego, rented a car, and drove all the way up the coast to Seattle. The trip was fantastic. We started in San Diego and spent two days visiting the sunny southern California area. Perhaps you are heading that way? Check out what we did during our short visit. I can't believe how much we fit in! Must Sees in San Diego Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial This historic landmark honors the veterans who have served our country. Pregnancy Travel Tips
Travis and I recently returned from our baby moon vacation. We flew into San Diego, rented a car, and drove all the way up the coast to Seattle. Thank You to Our Veterans
Tomorrow is Veterans Day -- a day dedicated to thanking the veterans of our nation. The men and women who serve in our country's military make sacrifices to protect and defend us each day. They are brave, strong, and hardworking. They are selfless and hold great pride for the U.S.A. This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of DAV (Disabled American Veterans). All opinions and text are my own. Thank You, Veterans. I would like to thank all of the veterans who have served or are currently serving. A simple thank you isn't enough for all they do, but it's what I can offer. Of Continue Reading
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Dip
When I think of October, I think pumpkin. But alas, October is over. That's OK, though, because we are still in the middle of fall and that means pumpkin is still allowed. Last month, I shared the recipe for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. This month, I'm sharing a recipe for another fun pumpkin dessert. Pumpkin chocolate chip dip! It's like cookie dough, but better because you are supposed to eat it! No guilt. No salmonella. Yay! Here's what you'll need: Butter Brown sugar Cinnamon Nutmeg Vanilla Pumpkin puree Flour Chocolate chips Considering it's fall, I'm guessing Continue Reading
To the Woman Struggling in Her Marriage
I've recently heard or met several women who are struggling in their marriages. Women who have been hurt, painfully so, by their husbands -- the very men they trusted enough to vow a lifetime to. These women are brokenhearted, confused, and wondering what's to come. Are you one of these women? What you might not know is that I was one of these women. I don't talk about it openly here on this blog, or even in my personal life, because I'm still healing. Because it's a private, personal, painful story. Maybe someday I'll write a book about the struggles our marriage has had to overcome, but Continue Reading
