I recently shared my toddler gift ideas, which included some big items and some great learning and creative toys. But one thing that wasn’t on that list was books, and that’s because I have enough favorite children’s books for an entire blog post.
If you love to read or you want your child to love to read (who doesn’t?), this blog post is for you because these are the best children’s books for toddlers. This list includes books we own and love. My daughter, Raylee loves books right now and will read them over and over. She loves when we read to her, but she loves flipping through them herself too.
Interactive books are even better for this age because they can lift the flaps or look in the mirror. Toddlers can’t read yet, but they love learning and books is a great way to do that. Just point to something on the page and tell them it’s name. Before you know it, they can find that item when you ask.
Our Favorite Children’s Books
The Ones We Own
These are the books that Raylee already has and loves. She could read the same book over and over every day when it’s one of her favorites! I’ve included story books, which are fun to read at bedtime while she drinks her milk, but also interactive books that she loves reading and playing with. Just click the photo of the book to learn more about it.
Raylee loves all these books. I think her favorite is the Christmas version. We own three of the books in this series, but I’d love to own them all!
We love this whole series too! Hoping to get more of them!
This series is so cute and has tons of options. They are touchy-feely books, and each one is different.
With how simple this book is, I can’t believe how much Raylee loves it. It has flaps she can lift and at the end there is a mirror!
This is the first book that taught Raylee animal sounds!
The Ones We Want
These are books that we’ve read from the library and loved or ones that we know we will like and want to have as our own. Just click the picture of the book to learn more about it.
My Favorite Children’s Book of All Time
I love all of the books on this list, and I think every kid should own them. But there’s one book that stands out among all the rest. This is my all-time favorite book for kids, or maybe even for anyone. The Jesus Storybook Bible is a must-have! I absolutely LOVE it.
What’s your favorite children’s book? Are there any I need to check out that aren’t on this list?
