Military life means a whole lot of moving. A PCS is a Permanent Change of Station, or in other words a move. Most military members and their families move every two to three years. As a military spouse, I have now moved three times in three years, and at the end of the month we're supposed to be moving again. All this moving can make it hard to find a community and a church home. I think finding a church that suits me is really difficult, and to be honest I never enjoy the search. It's hard to know on your first visit if it's the right church for you and your family. And since church only Continue Reading
Blessings or Lessons? June Devotional Kit
This post about the monthly devotional kits is sponsored by DaySpring. I received this devotional kit in exchange for this review. All opinions are 100% mine. How many of you participate in Bible journaling? I love looking at inspiring pieces of artwork inside someone's Bible. How neat that they are able to use the artistic and creative talents God has given them to worship and glorify Him! I have dabbled in this new form of praise when I got the Beautiful Word Bible. I've shared tips for Bible Journaling with you, and today I'm talking about the devotional kits from Continue Reading
Guy Behind the Blog Episode 9
It's the end of the month! Can you believe May is practically over? This will be my last post for May, as Monday lands on a holiday and I'm determined not to blog on holidays. Because everyone needs time off, including bloggers. We are spending this holiday with family, and we are both so excited! But back to my point -- end of the month means it's time for Guy Behind the Blog, where you get to welcome my husband to our corner of the internet. Everybody say, "Hi Travis!" Here's this month's questions. Travis really liked them! 1. Would you rather have to wear your swimsuit to work OR have Continue Reading
Fried Cinnamon Bananas
I love dessert. It's safe to say I'm obsessed and addicted to dessert. So when I can find a dessert that's actually pretty good for you, well, it's a winner! Bananas are full of potassium, and they also have calcium and Vitamin A. Cinnamon is loaded with antioxidants, has anti-inflammatory properties, and it's said to reduce the risk of heart disease. Put the two together and you've got one healthy dessert, not to mention a great tasting one too! I made this recipe as a snack for Travis and I one Sunday, but we both agreed it would taste amazing on top of ice cream for a full on dessert. Continue Reading

Q&A with Tiffany – May
A friend of mine named Jessica who blogs at Keeping Up with Joneses was recently nominated for an award where she had to answer some questions about herself on her blog and then come up with other questions to ask other bloggers. Jessica chose my blog, as well as four others, to answer these questions she came up with. Today, I thought I would answer those questions as a way for you all to get to know me a little better. It's a Q&A with me! Q&A Time 1. Why did you start your blog? I started my blog back in 2012 when Travis and I were broke up. I had been blogging on a Wordpress.com Continue Reading
Cajun Chicken & Veggies
We have a new favorite meal! I make a ton of this cajun chicken & veggies because we both love to eat a lot of it, and Travis loves to take it in his lunch the next week. I love how flavorful the dish is. It's a got a small kick to it too, but nothing you can't handle. My favorite part of this meal is how easy it is to make. I don't have to do any planning or a ton of prepping other than chopping a few veggies. It means its easy to make as a last minute meal when I suddenly realize it's suppertime and there's nothing in the crock pot! Try this Cajun Chicken Dish Here's what you'll Continue Reading

Reader Survey 2016
The best way to improve my blog is to deliver the type of content you want to read. But how can I know what kind of posts you enjoy reading unless I know more about you. That's why today I'm asking you to take a survey for me so that I can get to know you better. Just pretend we are sitting down in a cute cafe together and I'm just nonchalantly asking you questions about yourself while you sip your coffee or tea or hot chocolate -- see, I don't even know which you'd be drinking! This survey is for anyone who reads my blog. So if you are reading this, I'd love for you to take it. Even if you Continue Reading
Life Lately: Promotion & PCS
I thought I'd do a post just updating ya'll on our life lately. We've had a couple big things happening here in our military life. First of all, my husband was recently promoted. I was so proud standing up there with him during the ceremony. He works hard and definitely deserves this promotion. It's a little strange that Travis is now a captain. I remember when we first got married and I would meet a captain or his wife. Travis' boss was a captain. I needed to call him sir and his wife ma'am. And now I'm the ma'am. And that's weird. I still feel like a total newbie, to be Continue Reading
Snail Mail Challenge: 21 Days of Encouragement
This post is written in partnership with DaySpring for their 21-Day Encouragement Campaign. All opinions are my own. When I was a kid, my mom took file folders and taped them to our bedroom doors, taping the sides of the folders closed. These little folders taped to our doors became our mailboxes. When we would come in from playing outside, my mom would say in a sing-song voice, "You never can tell when you might get some mail!" My brother and I would take off running to our bedrooms to see what special surprise was in our mailboxes. I remember coming home from school and seeing a big piece Continue Reading
Mother’s Day After Miscarriage
Sunday is almost here. Every commercial, every ad on every website, and everything I see on my Facebook news feed reminds me that Mother's Day is coming. It's just a couple days away. And to be totally honest, I don't know whether I'm ready for it or not. Basically every big or even somewhat big event from the last few months have been reminders of what should have been. The first time I went home to visit was difficult. I knew that everyone should have been oohing and ahhing over my growing belly. When we went to Six Flags, I knew that I should have not been able to ride some of the rides Continue Reading
