FYI: I interviewed Travis and scheduled this post ahead of time. So next month, I'll be asking lots of questions about his new daughter! But this one was wrote before she was born, so it's on other topics. Enjoy, and stay tuned for next month! Check out this month's questions for my husband, Travis. 1. What is one personality trait you got from your mother? My mom and I are both able to just go with the flow and adapt to situations easily. Also, we are both able to easily talk to strangers and make conversation. 2. What is one personality trait you got from you father? I got Continue Reading
Coming Soon: Pre-Order Your Book Today
Have you seen the news? I wrote an eBook! I cannot believe it's real actually. But my name is actually on Amazon as an author! How crazy is that? I am so excited that God gave me the stamina to keep going with this eBook idea and now it is coming to fruition. So let me tell you about this book! I have compiled all of my blog posts about miscarriage into an eBook called Miscarriage & Mourning: Encouragement after Pregnancy Loss. Women all over the world are suffering from pregnancy loss, many of which do so silently. Because miscarriage is not a popular topic and is almost taboo, Continue Reading

Today, Rebekah from Hargraves Home and Hearth is guest posting for us. She shares some great tips and Bible study tools for digging deeper into God's Word. Be sure to go check out Rebekah's blog after reading this post! If there is any one practice we desperately need to have in our lives, it is the practice of daily reading God's Word. We, as wives and mamas, need the comfort, encouragement, Continue Reading
Prenatal Massage: The Benefits and Tips for First-Timers
At 16 weeks of pregnancy, Travis and I went to a place called Love My Baby Bump to get a gender-reveal ultrasound. We didn't want to wait until 22 weeks, which was when the hospital planned to do our anatomy scan of the baby. While we were at the ultrasound place, we found out they also do prenatal massage sessions for mamas. I don't know about you, but I love me a good massage! I was having a lot of back pain in my first months of pregnancy, so I tried out the prenatal massage. It was amazing! After that first experience and seeing how much it helped my lower back pain, we bought a package Continue Reading
Quick Sugar Cookies
Travis' favorite kind of cookie is sugar cookies, and lately I've been on a any-kind-of-cookie kick. It seemed like the perfect time to make these quick sugar cookies. I got the recipe from my Aunt Traci, and they are seriously the best sugar cookies I've ever had. They really are easy to make, but best of all they are so soft. I love soft sugar cookies with not too much icing. Here's what you'll need: Flour Salt Baking soda Shortening Sugar Vanilla Eggs That's it. I imagine most of us have all of these things in our pantries already. That's one of the things that makes this Continue Reading
5 Things I Learned from Moving Back in with My Parents
I'm so thankful that so many amazing bloggers have been willing to guest post for me this month while I'm on "maternity leave." Today, we have Lindsay from Uplifting Anchor. She talks about how moving back in with her parents while her husband was deployed taught her many things. Be sure to go check out her website after you read this because I love the theme behind it! I’m 30 years old and this past year I moved back in with my parents. That statement used to feel strange, defeated, and wrong on many levels, but not anymore. I am a military spouse, and I moved back in with my folks Continue Reading
Being a Submissive Wife When You Were Born a Leader
Today, Kayla Nelson of The Accidental Nomad Life is guest posting for us. She was born a leader and has sometimes struggled with being a submissive wife. Boy, do I relate! Today, she is sharing her story and some practical tips for letting your husband lead. It was almost painful. The burden of wanting to step in, take care of it, and just get it done was weighing so heavily on me. But I couldn't. My husband had asked to be the leader when it came to our finances -- he had to be the one to sort it out, and I had to do my best to pray peace and quiet over myself. Being Submissive When Continue Reading
Calming Birthing Playlist
Holy moly, it's March. That means our baby is due! Next week in fact! (Insert stunned emoji faces) I can't believe she could really come any day now! And I can't believe that soon I will be experiencing labor for the first time. I have to admit, that sounds pretty scary! That's why I really wanted to create a calming birthing playlist full of music that would remind me that God is taking care of me. Of course, when the time comes, who knows what it will be like. Perhaps it will go so fast that I won't have time to play any music. Or perhaps it will take so long, I'll get tired of hearing Continue Reading
3rd Trimester Essentials
It's finally the month my baby is due! Although, I really can't complain, the 3rd trimester has definitely been uncomfortable. I feel big. It's hard to move around or put my shoes on. I have to pee all the time. Every time the baby moves, which is a lot, it feels uncomfortable. Oh, and sleep is harder to come by. I can totally see why 3rd trimester mamas are ready for the baby to just get here already! Although there's not a lot you can do to fix these 3rd trimester woes, you can use some of these things to ease them a little. Today, I'm sharing my 3rd trimester essentials -- the things that Continue Reading
Guy Behind the Blog Episode 18
Wow, February is over and March is around the corner. I can't believe it's the month our baby will be born! Holy cow! At the end of each month, I let Travis take over the blog and answer some questions for us. It's fun to get to know him better! Someone suggested a great question for us to use this month, so we are leading off with that one. I decided to just stick to that theme -- so all of these questions have to do with Travis' new hobby of woodworking. 1. Is there anything you are looking forward to making Raylee with your woodworking hobby? I'm looking forward to making her a doll Continue Reading

Weekly Bump Photos
One of the things I was really excited about when becoming pregnant was that I would be able to take weekly bump photos to see how my belly, and baby, were growing. I love seeing other people take these photos, and I couldn't wait to take my own. We got started right away, taking them at week 4. I've been taking them once a week ever since. Today, I'm sharing my bump's progress. Bump Photos Those first three photos are sized differently than the rest. We were just starting out, and I wasn't for sure how I wanted each photo to look. But by week 7, I had it down. I love seeing the different Continue Reading
