This post is written in partnership with DaySpring for their 21-Day Encouragement Campaign. All opinions are my own. When I was a kid, my mom took file folders and taped them to our bedroom doors, taping the sides of the folders closed. These little folders taped to our doors became our mailboxes. When we would come in from playing outside, my mom would say in a sing-song voice, "You never can tell when you might get some mail!" My brother and I would take off running to our bedrooms to see what special surprise was in our mailboxes. I remember coming home from school and seeing a big piece Continue Reading

This post about Bible journaling is sponsored by DaySpring. A big thank you goes out to this Christian card, gift, and decor company for offering this giveaway to my readers. With my new Beautiful Word Bible, I've been trying out this new worship trend of Bible journaling. It's all about creating and worshipping through words and art inside your Bible. I've seen lots of examples of artistic people creating beautiful pieces of artwork inside their Bible as a way to connect to God in a whole new way. I love seeing the creativity of so many talented people. Today, I'm sharing nine tips to Continue Reading

Bible Art Journaling with the Beautiful Word Bible
This is a sponsored post; however, all of these opinions are my own. You all have seen the adult coloring books taking the country by storm! Coloring isn't the only thing becoming more popular. Bible art journaling seems to be all the rage with Christians lately. When I first saw it, I thought it was beautiful and immediately wanted a journaling Bible. Now, the creative way to interact with scripture is becoming more and more popular, and there are so many great tools for helping you do your own art journaling. Research shows that coloring and creating stimulates the brain, senses, Continue Reading
How I Hear God
At Allume last year, I met a new friend -- another Tiffany! -- who blogs at In Grace Always. Tiffany asked me if I would consider guest posting for her blog. She is doing a series called Hearing God. When I found out what the series was about, I knew I wanted to join in. Here's what she says about the series: This series' goal is to bring about the awareness and beautiful intimacy that hearing God has on us, and God lead me to some wonderful ladies I met through the Allume Conference, who are brave and bold and willing to share their story of how they have come to hear the voice of God Continue Reading
2016 Word of the Year
Last year, I broke all the rules and had two words for 2015 -- Brave Adventure. It turns out those were the perfect words for that year. I had to be brave many, many times, and a lot of the year was a complete adventure -- good adventures and bad. We bought a house and property for the first time. My husband and I were living separately due to the military. I traveled to South Korea. We visited Hawaii and the Philippines. I visited Texas and New York. Brave adventure for sure. As 2015 came to a close, I began praying about what my word for 2016 should be. I thought about the things that Continue Reading
Katchi Kapshida
I told you in a recent post that my time at the Allume blogging conference was different this year. Last year was all about community, and this year was more about time for me and God. Just the two of us. Except it wasn't just the two of us. There were three of us. Last year at Allume, I met Morgan from Living a Page Turner. I was so excited to meet her because she was first person I had met who was my age and in the same life stage as me. Morgan and I kept up with each other through our blogs, and when Allume rolled around this year she asked me to room with her at the hotel. I jumped at Continue Reading
Coming Soon: The Museum of the Bible
Every year at Allume, the halls are filled with sponsors, companies, and organizations. It's a great chance to make contacts and learn about some great businesses. This year, a representative from the Museum of the Bible was at Allume. She showed us a video of what's to come, and it got me so excited that I decided to write a whole post about it. What is the Museum of the Bible? The Museum of the Bible is coming the fall of 2017. This 430,000 square foot building will turn God' Word into an immersive experience designed for people of all faiths, ages, cultural backgrounds, and Continue Reading
What God Said to Me at Allume 2015
A couple weeks ago I attended Allume. When someone asks me what Allume is I always say, "a blogging conference." But Allume is so much more than that. Yes, I learn a little bit about how to improve my blog, but this conference is a lot more about my heart than about my space on the Internet. Last year was my first time attending Allume. I had been longing for community, and Allume gave me a fresh dose of fellowship -- just like I had been needing. Last year was all about connecting with others, handing out business cards, and learning as much as I could about blogging. This year was Continue Reading
Cleaning Up Your Facebook News Feed
When you scroll through your Facebook news feed, what do you see? What types of images are your eyes scanning? What types of videos do you stop to watch? When you read a post from a friend or page, what kind of words are used? Are the things you are seeing on your Facebook news feed encouraging and uplifting? Are they filled with Truth? Or are you seeing foul words, inappropriate images, and things you wouldn't want your pastor seeing? If you accidentally clicked share on one of those posts, would you be embarrassed or ashamed? Perhaps it is time to clean up our Facebook pages. This has Continue Reading
How to Help a Grieving Friend
What do we say when someone is grieving? How do we help when a friend is in pain? Are you wondering how to help a grieving friend? This topic has been on my heart lately. I've been told the saying, "God won't give you more than you can handle" during my own times of grief. In fact, it's a saying I believed and said to others. But not anymore. There are a lot of things in this world that God doesn't hand out. I believe most of the time, God is not the one causing our pain. Yes, He allows it, but He doesn't cause it or give it to us like some angry, punishing God. A lot of times the pain in Continue Reading
Pause
As you've read in my posts lately, I've been struggling. Life is just hard sometimes, friends. And when life gets hard, it's OK to take a break. It's OK to not be OK. And when you aren't OK, you are allowed to pause. In fact, you should pause. You should focus on taking care of yourself. I know that taking a break from this blog is not going to help make it successful or help me grow readers. My traffic will decline. It is going to make reaching my goals much harder. But in the full scheme of things, I know that has to be OK. It is more important right now for me to focus on my spiritual, Continue Reading
