Travis and I recently returned from our baby moon vacation. We flew into San Diego, rented a car, and drove all the way up the coast to Seattle. It was beautiful, and we got to visit several big cities along the way. Our baby moon included flights, long car rides, and lots of walking and exploring. We had a great time, but being pregnant did make this vacation a little different than other times we've traveled. That's why today I'm sharing a few pregnancy travel tips for those of you planning your own baby moon. Copyright: alexandralexey / 123RF Stock Photo Tips for Pregnancy Travel When To Continue Reading
Best Restaurants Near Fort Leonard Wood
As a kid, teen, and young adult (basically my whole existence until Travis was in the picture) I hated going to new restaurants. I'm a picky eater, and going somewhere new freaks me out. What if they don't have something I like? But now that Travis is in my life, I know he will eat my meal if I don't like it. He's traded meals with me many times. He's also expanded my palate. I used to only eat chicken strips and french fries at basically every restaurant. But now, mostly thanks to Travis, I like more than just chicken! Now that we both enjoy trying new restaurants and new menu items, we Continue Reading
Summer Road Trip Tips
As you read this, I'm sitting on a big beach towel looking out over the sand and waves with the sun soaking into my skin. Every year, Travis' family heads to Panama City Beach, Florida for the annual Stroud family vacation. The first year, Travis and I didn't have too long of a drive since we lived in Georgia. Last year, I came without Travis since he was in Korea. But this year, Travis and I took our longest road trip together -- around 900 miles of driving. We made it, and we have been enjoying time with family. But now, we are about to gear up for our next road trip to head back home. Continue Reading

Things to Do in Springfield Wild Animal Safari We went to the Wild Animal Safari with some friends and had so much fun. We took the bus tour so that we could feed the animals. A lot of people make fun of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. It has the nickname Fort Lost in the Woods, because it's out in the middle of nowhere. People will often say there's nothing to do here, but I disagree. Travis and I have been so busy doing lots of fun activities every weekend. The biggest city in this state is a mere two hours away. We have spent some time in St. Louis, and probably aren't finished with this city. It's perfect for a weekend getaway! Our Favorite Road Trip Snacks
Travis and I love traveling. When we lived in Georgia, we were exploring the area like crazy. Now, that we are here in Missouri, we love to explore too. We have a huge list of places we want to visit nearby and things we want to do in the next couple months. We've already took the two-hour trip to Branson, and soon we'll be heading to St. Louis. Our weekends are filling up quick! We love going on road trips together. I especially love it because it means uninterrupted quality time with my husband where he can't be distracted by TV or his cell phone. I love our deep discussions in the truck Continue Reading
Things to Do in Branson
For Easter weekend, Travis and I decided to take a short trip to see Branson, Missouri. It's only a couple hours away, and we've heard lots of great things about this city. Today, I'm sharing what we did in Branson, as well as other things to do there. Our Favorite Things in Branson Extreme Racing There are several places to ride go-karts, but of course Travis wanted the fastest ones we could find. This led us to Extreme Racing, where you have to qualify before actually racing the fast cars. And these cars were fast! I was really impressed with the organization, staff, and safety Continue Reading
4 Best Restaurants Near Fort Stewart
Travis and I were stationed at Fort Stewart for two years. We are the type of people who can't just sit at home every weekend. We love to get out to explore the area. Being in the military means you know you won't be living in an area permanently. Knowing that, we try to make the most of each place where we are stationed. We loved visiting the surrounding areas of Fort Stewart -- islands, beaches, Savannah, and even going to Florida and South Carolina were all things we enjoyed during those two years in Georgia. Travis and I also consider ourselves foodies. We love eating. And we love trying Continue Reading
Boracay Video: Philippines Vacation
Over Thanksgiving last year, Travis and I traveled to the Philippines, visiting the island of Boracay. We only spent a few days there, but it was wonderful! We had such a fun and relaxing time. I wrote all about our trip in my post 3 Things to Do in Boracay, Philippines. Thanks to our GoPro, we had so many videos and photos we wanted to share. Now, that we are finally living together again and settled into our home in Missouri, we put all our footage from the GoPro onto my computer. It was really fun looking back over all the footage and remembering such a fun trip. I am planning to Continue Reading
3 Things to Do in Boracay, Philippines
During our time in South Korea, Travis and I wanted to take advantage of his time off of work for Thanksgiving. We had heard from lots of people that traveling to the Philippines was very cheap. We like cheap. And we love the beach. So we booked the tickets! Over the four day weekend, Travis and I traveled to Boracay, Philippines. We loved the island -- the gorgeous sunsets, the warm beaches, the cheap food, the friendly people, and the beautiful views. Yes, the Philippines has lots to offer. Since we only had three days to actually spend enjoying the island, we didn't want to waste any Continue Reading
Things to Do in Busan
During my time visiting Travis in South Korea, we took a one day trip to Busan. Busan is the second biggest city in the country with a population of more than 3 million. We had a couple things we wanted to see, but for the most part we just played it by ear and enjoyed our day. Things to Do in Busan that We Recommend First, we went to Busan Tower. Remember when we went up in the 83 Tower in Daegu? Well, this was very similar except we could look out onto the city of Busan, complete with the ocean beyond. At the bottom of the tower, thousands up thousands of people have placed love Continue Reading
26 Hours of Travel
We woke up early around 4 a.m., Friday morning in our Indiana farmhouse. We threw on our most comfortable clothing and packed our last-minute essentials. My mom picked us up and drove us the hour to Indianapolis. It was still dark as the planes landed and took off, engines roaring. We unloaded the car filled to the brim with all our luggage, hugged goodbyes, and entered the airport. Travis and I checked our luggage -- two bags each. We tried to change our tickets so we could sit together, but there were no more seats available next to each other. We quickly grabbed breakfast -- Qdoba for Continue Reading
