This recipe is really simple! We loved eating it by dipping tortilla chips in it. It's very thick and hearty, perfect for dipping! First, brown the hamburger with the chopped onion until the meat is brown and the onion is clear. You don't have to drain it as long as your meat was pretty lean. Throw the mixture into your crock pot. Add in the rest of the ingredients. The only one you need to drain is the can of corn and the can of kidney beans. Cook on low for about 3 hours. Serve this dish with shredded cheddar cheese, chopped cilantro, chopped green onions, and/or sour cream for Continue Reading
Chili Soup
I have shared a recipe for chili before, but it was more Chili Mac than Chili Soup. This recipe is more of a soup. It's the way I like chili best. It's my mom's recipe. That's how my mom makes her delicious chili. So it took me several trial runs before I got this recipe right. Here's what you'll need: Tomato juice Diced tomatoes (chili ready with onions) Tomato paste Black beans Kidney beans Chili seasoning mix Garlic Continue Reading

I come from a family who grows their own cattle and eats their own meat, so grocery store Continue Reading
White Chicken Chili
When my husband and I were dating, we talked about who would do which chores. We didn't want to have the wrong expectations and end up fighting during our marriage. One of the things we talked about was who would do the cooking. We agreed I would cook most meals for our family. But I didn't want to have to cook every single day for the rest of our lives. So we came up with "Daddy Dinner Night." One night a week, my husband does the cooking for our evening meal. Even though he's not a daddy yet, we still call it Daddy Dinner Night. Someday, he'll be a daddy and it will make sense. Our Daddy Continue Reading
