Date night -- this routine event can be so important for a marriage. They give you a chance to reconnect after many days of hectic schedules. They are great for quality time and physical touch -- which happen to be the top two love languages in my marriage. I love getting dressed up and going out for a special date, but sometimes it's nice to just stay home but still have a date. I imagine for those with littles running around, stay-at-home dates work best because you don't have to hire a babysitter. After the kids are tucked in, date night can begin. 83 Grill in Daegu
When we visited the 83 Tower in Daegu, we learned one of the very top floors is a romantic restaurant. We made reservations. We were both excited to get dressed up and have a romantic date night at this new restaurant. The restaurant was beautiful and fancy and romantic -- perfect for a special date. I loved the chandeliers on the ceiling, the huge bouquets of flowers, the candles on the tables -- all of it. The very best part was the view of course! We could see the whole city with all its sparkling lights. Oh, and did I mention the restaurant rotated?! Yes, it rotates so you get a 365 Continue Reading
Stroud Vacation 2014
A week filled with some of my favorite things: Sand. Sea. Sun. And another of my favorite things: Family. After our anniversary, Travis and I headed to Panama City Beach to spend the week with his family enjoying all things summer. Here's a photo recap of our vacation. On our first night in PCB, we all went out to Boondocks. Here are all the ladies! Pretty gorgeous family, huh? Travis and I loved getting to spend some quality time with our niece and nephew. One day, some of us worked on building a huge sandcastle. It was fun! And afterward, we decided to bury Continue Reading
How to Make a Food Passport
Travis and I moved to a new location about three months ago. We love exploring our new home and the surrounding areas. We are within driving distance of so many neat places -- Savannah, Tybee Island, Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Hilton Head ... There never has to be a boring weekend! We have really enjoyed visiting some of these new places, and we have a list of other places we want to visit in the future. With a new hometown, there are tons of new restaurants. We both like trying new restaurants, but it's hard to remember all the places we once saw and wanted Continue Reading
