Raylee is turning two this month, and I can't believe it. I had originally decided we would do a very small, simple party for her. But then we found out we were expecting and we would have the gender ultrasound just days before her party. Not to mention, we just love both our families (big families) and we wanted a chance for them all to see our new house, especially after we had completed so many projects. So we went big! I decided to do a bee theme and host a bee-day party that doubled as a gender reveal party. We ended up having around 50 people come, so thank goodness we have a pretty big Continue Reading
Twin Beach Gender Reveal Party
My sister-in-law is pregnant with twins and will be having them sometime in the next two months. We are all so excited for them! When I found out that she would be finding out the genders right around the time we would all be doing our family vacation in Florida, I kind of begged her to do a gender reveal party on the beach. In fact, I offered to plan the whole thing. Thankfully, she agreed to it! With the help of our other family members, we all threw a fantastic beach gender reveal party for twins! Baseball Gender Reveal Party
Pink and blue -- that's what most people do for a gender reveal party. But we aren't most people. We've had the idea for a baseball gender reveal party for almost a year now. Travis loves baseball. He still has all his baseball memorabilia from when he was a kid. He took me to my first MLB game, and we had so much fun. So we loved the idea of finding out the gender using a baseball and bat. I'm so excited to share all the details of our party. But first I want to say a big thank you to our family that came. I started to thank them all at the party, but I got choked up so I kept it Continue Reading
Pros & Cons of Blue Apron
Travis and I have been seeing all sorts of commercials and ads for food subscription services. We both thought it would be fun to try, so when a friend of mine offered us some free meals to try out Blue Apron, we jumped on it! Blue Apron is a subscription service where they send you recipes and ingredients for meals you choose. You follow the recipes to cook the meals and then bon appetite! This is not a sponsored post. I just want to make sure you know that my opinions are completely honest (as always whether a sponsored post or not!) Travis and I tried three meals a week for three weeks. Continue Reading
4 Best Restaurants Near Fort Stewart
Travis and I were stationed at Fort Stewart for two years. We are the type of people who can't just sit at home every weekend. We love to get out to explore the area. Being in the military means you know you won't be living in an area permanently. Knowing that, we try to make the most of each place where we are stationed. We loved visiting the surrounding areas of Fort Stewart -- islands, beaches, Savannah, and even going to Florida and South Carolina were all things we enjoyed during those two years in Georgia. Travis and I also consider ourselves foodies. We love eating. And we love trying Continue Reading

A Guide to Korean Food
I am a picky eater. I always have been. My go-to dish is chicken strips and french fries. When in doubt, order that. So when I visited South Korea to see my husband who's living there, I was very nervous about the food! In fact, our first time going to a Korean restaurant made me break out in a sweat. I was so nervous that I wouldn't like anything! And not knowing what you're ordering or even eating once it arrives didn't help matters. For those of you who may be feeling panicked at the thought of trying these new foods, I've created this guide to Korean food to help you stay calm in the Continue Reading

Spinach Tortellini Soup Recipe Here's what you'll need: Chicken broth Tortellini Baby spinach Shredded Parmesan cheese That's it! Wow! You might even have some of this already in your kitchen! How to Make a Food Passport
Travis and I moved to a new location about three months ago. We love exploring our new home and the surrounding areas. We are within driving distance of so many neat places -- Savannah, Tybee Island, Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island, Jacksonville, Charlotte, Hilton Head ... There never has to be a boring weekend! We have really enjoyed visiting some of these new places, and we have a list of other places we want to visit in the future. With a new hometown, there are tons of new restaurants. We both like trying new restaurants, but it's hard to remember all the places we once saw and wanted Continue Reading
Post-Workout Food Options
Like I've mentioned before during my veggie posts, I've been working out a lot lately. Riding the bike machine at the gym on post and then walking/jogging on a treadmill at an incline. I'm not a fitness master. I'm not in great shape. But I'm stronger than I was yesterday. As long as I'm keeping up with my workout each day, I'm always stronger than the day before. I'm improving. Slowly. But I am. When I get home after my workout, I either shower or eat depending on how hungry I am. I usually get home from the gym close to noon, so it's lunch time. The worst thing to do would be to open Continue Reading
