So my last three posts have been a bit ... heavy, I guess you could say. So I thought I might lighten it up a bit with this post. Living in Indiana definitely has its perks, but boy are there some things I miss about living in Georgia. 1. Living just down the road from a Kroger -- getting groceries was a breeze, and if you forgot something it was easy to run back later. 2. Seeing armadillos on the side of the road. OK, yes they were dead. But armadillos don't stink the way opossums do, and seeing armadillos was way neater to me than the roadkill here. 3. Knowing my husband was coming home Continue Reading

March Visitors #2
Travis and I must have had the luck of the Irish this month because we had two weeks of visitors. Last week I shared a recap of our time with Travis' sister and nephew at Sea World and Downtown Disney. Today, I'm sharing about our time with my brother and his girlfriend -- Logan and Kendall. Luckily, Travis had Monday off so once our visitors arrived, Travis got to spend two-and-a-half days with them. We played board games, played laser tag, won some candy playing arcade games, visited the mall, went bowling, took a tour of Fort Stewart and enjoyed lots of laughs. While Travis Continue Reading
Our First Married Thanksgiving
Thursday was our first Thanksgiving as husband and wife. Even though we were both missing our family, we had a great day together. Let me share with ya'll about it (plus lots of photos!) We watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade -- a tradition for both of us. I made my first Thanksgiving meal! I was a little nervous about it, but it actually turned out really well! I made a three pound turkey breast, mashed potatoes, noodles, green beans, and rolls. Unfortunately, the gravy didn't turn out for some reason. It was OK though because Travis didn't want gravy anyways, it was just for me. Continue Reading
September Visitors
Before September is over, I want to share with ya'll about the fun we had with our visitors this month. My brother and his girlfriend, along with my parents, came to see us! This is a summary of our time with our visitors -- mostly in pictures -- if you follow me on Instagram you may have seen some of these. (I LOVE Instagram!) On our first day with everybody, we went to Tybee Island for some beach time. We packed a picnic Continue Reading
