It sounds weird. It looks beautiful. It tastes tangy with a hint of sweet. It's a blueberry lime slushy. Yes, blueberries and limes together. Strange huh? But actually pretty good! The only bad thing about this beverage is you will get blueberry seeds stuck in your teeth. So drink it with folks you aren't afraid to look goofy with. What you'll need: Frozen blueberries Two limes, just their juice Ice Lemon-Lime soda (I used Sprite Zero) Honey Slice the two limes in half and juice them. Pour the juice into your blender. Pour in the frozen Continue Reading
One Pot Pasta
Raise your hand if you hate doing dishes. (My hand is raised!) Most of us, at least all of us sane folk, don't like doing dishes. Having a dishwasher is making my life so much better! But the fact remains -- the less dirty dishes, the better. That's why I tried out this dish that you make all in one pot! This pasta and broccoli dish has a garlic lemon flavor that my husband loved. And I was all about the Parmesan cheese! So here's what you'll need to make this recipe: First, boil the penne pasta for about six minutes. You want the pasta less than al dente. Add the broccoli florets Continue Reading
Buttered Italian Shrimp
I tried out this recipe I saw on Pinterest, and wow. It was delicious! I love it! This recipe leaves the shrimp with a melt-in-your-mouth buttery taste. We enjoy these shrimp with pasta salad. But really a lot of sides would go with this recipe. Try it out for yourself. You'll need a butter stick, a lemon, dry Italian mix, and shrimp. Pretty simple, huh? I started by lining a baking sheet with aluminum foil. This made clean-up a breeze! I didn't even need to wash the pan! I just wrapped up the foil and threw it away. Melt a stick of butter on the baking sheet. (You will Continue Reading
Baked Grouper
I found a recipe through Pinterest from The Devil's Punchbowl. It was for a baked salmon and had very few ingredients. It looked really good, and I love salmon. While visiting Travis, we decided to try it. He had been deep sea fishing with his dad the week before and brought home tons of fish. We decided to try the recipe with grouper instead of salmon. We didn't think it would make much of a difference, but maybe it did. All we needed was the fish, salt and pepper, a lemon and butter. We sliced up the lemon and placed the slices on a piece of aluminum foil. We set the grouper on top. We Continue Reading
