Life Lately: Looking Ahead

Life Lately: Looking Ahead

It has been awhile since I've wrote a "Life Lately" post where I update you on what's going on with our little family of now three. My last post, which you can read here, was all about selling the farmhouse in Indiana. Since then, we've been enjoying life here in Tennessee. We have made lots of friends, found a good church, and we love being able to go back to Indiana to see family basically whenever we want. Things are about to change though. And that's why I'm writing this update. Our lives are about to look very different. This is Travis' last week working in his battalion. Soon, he Continue Reading

As an Army girlfriend, I really had no idea about so many of the things I know about now. Today, I'm sharing the six things I've learned as a new military spouse. 1. Revelry & Retreat Every morning, the American flag is lifted and Revelry is played over speakers throughout the Continue Reading

South Korean Culture

South Korean Culture

Travis has officially lived in South Korea for one month, and even in that short amount of time he has learned a lot about South Korean culture. I love hearing about the things he's learned, and others I've talked to find South Korean culture very interesting too. There are so many things we didn't know! I wanted to share what we've learned in this first month. People dating in South Korea do not meet each other's families until after they are engaged. When a Korean baby is born, they are automatically considered a one-year-old. Therefore, a Korean may be 20 years old, but to Americans he Continue Reading
