One of my favorite parts of Allume was meeting new people and hearing about their blogs. It felt good to connect with others who get blogging and love Jesus. You know how when you meet a new friend and you really like her, you want to introduce her to the friends you already have? Or when you read a great book and you say, "Mom, you have to read this book; it's so good!" and you let her borrow it? Neighborhood Ice Cream Social
Remember when I wrote that post about striving for hospitality? Well, I didn't want my hospitality toward my neighbors to end with a plate of brownies. I wanted to do more. Late one night, as I laid in bed trying to sleep while my mind did the opposite of sleep, I remembered reading a post called How to Host an Ice Cream Social This Summer. (Read that post here.) Things to Do at Disney World
As an early birthday present, Travis surprised me with a trip to Disney World! We were both so excited to visit the most magical place on earth. We left Thursday night and spent the night in a hotel. Friday was all about Magic Kingdom. Saturday, we spent half the day in Animal Kingdom and the rest of the evening in Magic Kingdom finishing up the things we hadn't got to do the day before. Sunday, we went to Hollywood Studios, and Monday we were at Epcot before heading home. It was a fun-packed four-day weekend that left us exhausted, but so happy.
