It's been so long since I've posted. Too long. I have wanted to blog, but I just haven't found the time. Motherhood has been a huge adjustment for me -- there are so many more hard mom days than I had expected. I used to be able to do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. I would spend hours a day on the computer working on this blog and my social media pages. Now, I spend hours trying to get Raylee to nap! It feels like she has complete control over my day. Everything is wrapped around when she eats and naps. And honestly, it has been hard. Hard for me to let go of what used to be and embrace Continue Reading
The First Month of Motherhood
I didn't know it was going to be like this. I've wanted to be a mom my whole life. When people would ask what I wanted to be when I grew up, more often than not my answer was "a mom." Getting to spend almost four whole days with Travis, thanks to Veterans Day. New boots! New socks long enough to go under my boots! Buying greeting cards for special people in my life. Making French toast on a Continue Reading
Sunshine Part 2
My plan was to keep up with the Sunshine Series every week. It's not a good sign if I've gotten behind already! Oh well, here's a list of all the ways I've seen sunshine since the last time I posted: One night I went over to my cousins house and the three of us laid on top of the roof -- star gazing, drinking hot chocolate, chatting and laughing a lot. It was such a great night. We even saw six shooting stars. Even though it was night, I saw more sunshine during this moment than I have all month — definitely an unforgettable memory. I had a date night with my mom one evening. We went to Continue Reading
