With summer parties and get-togethers in full swing, I wanted to share this recipe I tried a few years ago with ya'll. It's one of those desserts you don't have to bake, which means less heat in the kitchen. Strawberry Icebox Cake is cold and full of fresh strawberries. Here's what you'll need: Strawberries Heavy Cream Powdered Sugar Vanilla Graham Crackers Dark Chocolate Chips First, you'll wash and slice all your strawberries. Set them aside. (Try not to eat them all before you use them!) Next, you'll be making homemade whipped cream. Start by whipping the part Continue Reading
Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie
I'm proud to say I've been going to the gym on post to work out every day (well, not on weekends, but those don't count, right?) I usually get home right at lunch time, and I'm starving! I always want something healthy like fruits and veggies -- working out makes me want to eat healthier for some reason. Maybe because I don't want to cancel out all the work I just put in. It was a great post-workout Continue Reading
Fruit Pops

Here's what you'll need: Strawberries (a little over 1 cup) Banana (half of one, if that) Honey (not much) Yogurt (1/2 cup) Blender Popsicle maker-things (What are those called?) Start by blending the 1 cup of strawberries Continue Reading
Strawberry Pie
Strawberries have always been my favorite fruit and one of my favorite foods altogether. I recently said that blueberries were picking up speed in the race to be my favorite fruit, but that's beside the point. I love eating strawberries all by themselves, but they are also delicious in pie form! I recently made a strawberry pie when my parents came to visit for a couple days. For this recipe, you'll need a pie crust. I used a graham cracker crust because I like those better than the regular ones. You can use whichever you prefer, but if you use one made of dough, you'll need to bake it Continue Reading
