As you all know, Travis and I took a baby moon vacation together recently. We flew into San Diego, rented a car, and drove all the way up the coast visiting tons of cities and beautiful scenery. It was an awesome west coast road trip -- something we've always wanted to do together. It seemed like the perfect trip to celebrate "just the two of us" before welcoming our little girl next year. During our west coast road trip, we visited these cities: San Diego Los Angeles Santa Barbara San Francisco PortlandĀ Seattle And probably a lot more along the way! You can read Continue Reading
Our Favorite Road Trip Snacks
Travis and I love traveling. When we lived in Georgia, we were exploring the area like crazy. Now, that we are here in Missouri, we love to explore too. We have a huge list of places we want to visit nearby and things we want to do in the next couple months. We've already took the two-hour trip to Branson, and soon we'll be heading to St. Louis. Our weekends are filling up quick! We love going on road trips together. I especially love it because it means uninterrupted quality time with my husband where he can't be distracted by TV or his cell phone. I love our deep discussions in the truck Continue Reading
Things to Do in Bali
While my husband, Travis, has been living in South Korea, he has been able to visit a few new places. One of those places was Bali, Indonesia where he spent a few days exploring. He has given me a list of places he went and things he did, so I can share with you a great list of things to do in Bali. Travis' Recommendations Lumbung SariĀ House of Coffee Sit in your own personal bungalow right on the water as they bring you 15 different flavors of coffee and tea. I am not a huge coffee and tea drinker, but these were so good! Plus, after I finished drinking them all, I felt like I could Continue Reading
Things to Do When Visiting Charleston
My husband took me on a short trip to Charleston, South Carolina as an early birthday present recently. I had always wanted to visit this city so rich in southern charm, so it was the perfect place to go for our last southern trip. We had a great time, and fit several fun things into a three-day trip. I'm sharing with you what we did, as well as some of the things I recommend and wish we had gotten the chance to do. The very first thing we did was take a horse and carriage tour around downtown. I highly recommend this because it's a great way to hear about the city's little details you Continue Reading
Tips for Visiting Patriot’s Point
Last weekend, Travis surprised me with a trip to Charleston, South Carolina to celebrate my birthday. I'll be writing a full recap post on that soon! But first, I want to tell you about Patriot's Point. Patriot's Point is a naval and maritime museum where you can walk through the USS Yorktown, an air-craft carrier known as "The Fighting Lady," as well as the USS Laffey, a battleship, and the USS Clamagore, a submarine. This was Travis' favorite part of our trip, not surprisingly. I really enjoyed it too! For those of you thinking about visiting, I want to share some photos and some Continue Reading
